Spring has arrived in Minneapolis!
The World Endeavors staff is happy to continue to be involved in a local volunteer project through the National Park Service planting locally harvested, native prairie species. We will care for the seedlings in our office until they are big enough to be planted along the Mississippi River. The NPS is working to clear out non-native, invasive plants along the river bluffs and replace them with these young plants in hopes of restoring the parks.
Our seeds were planted last week and we saw our first sprouts emerge today! We are growing Little Blue Stem, Blue Grana, Side Oats, Blazing Star (known for attracting Monarch butterflies), and Canada Wild Rye.
